Discovering Chimpanzees: The Remarkable World of Jane Goodall
A Science North Special Exhibition

discovering chimps tour

After a successful North American tour, a ‘homegrown’ travelling exhibit is ‘swinging’ back to Science North for an encore presentation. Discovering Chimpanzees: The Remarkable World of Jane Goodall is a 6,000 square foot exhibit produced by Science North. Discovering Chimpanzees is included in science centre admission, free for Science North members. Make a day of it and add the Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees IMAX® film (additional charges apply).

After making its debut at Science North in May of 2002 with Dr. Goodall in attendance, Discovering Chimpanzees has toured 11 cities in the past four years, making stops at such renowned institutions as the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago IL, the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta GA and the Museum of Natural History in Cleveland OH. The exhibit will continue to tour after its second visit to Science North, including a stop at the Museum of Science in Boston MA starting in June 2007.

"Jane, I love your exhibit. I think what you have done in the past is awesome. Someday I hope to accomplish as much as you. You are amazing!" - Katie Martin

"Jane, I just want to say that you are an inspiration. It has been an amazing experience to come here and be in your presence. I will always remember this day. Thank you." Jessica, Ottawa

""This exhibit is awesome! I am the weight of a chimpanzee. That's a cool thing to know. " – Amber

"I thought it was really cool, and it gave lots of info about chimps and Jane Goodall's time in Africa. I would love to come back here again. Thank you." - S.T.

"Thanks for your dedication. Because of you, my children's eyes are opened, mine as well." - Susan Croteau
